I firmly believe in the possibility and power of personal change. And having a little support or guidance along the way! Therapy can be as simple as having an hour to talk about you with a good listener. It can also mean digging deep into family issues, attachment patterns, and current interpersonal relationships. Perhaps you want to learn strategies for reducing anxiety. Or discover why that co-worker brings out so much stress and what to do about it… I first like to learn about your goals - what are you hiring me for? Then we’ll develop a plan to work together toward them.

 

I like to help people become aware of what they are feeling, find better ways of coping with their feelings, and transform old emotional responses into new ones. I also follow positive psychology principles: we should strive not just for the absence of problems or distress, but an improved sense of well-being, satisfaction, and happiness.

Whoever you are, I aim to provide an environment of acceptance and understanding. I also use a person-centered approach, which means that although therapy isn’t always easy, you will feel heard, valued, and supported in our work together. I look forward to joining you on your journey!
